<snip> did you figure out who the owner/driver was? I might be able to
find 73 race results for Nor Cal
Log book looks like Ray (Roy) Wa__l(k)__y(g), anyway it has a tall letter in
the middle and a hangee down letter at the end. Roll bar number is 33-319. Is
33 SF region ?
What a sane and rational person would pay for it ! >>
<snip> Just what would YOU do with such info :-)
Put it into my database, run it thru my Cray...and totally disregard it ! What
else.
Whaddaya mean too many cars...I'm down to 6 Brit Beauties...
Nick in Nor Cal
Other enquiries ask about body condition. The car looks straight except for a
wrinkle in the right front inner fender panel (just noticeable to the eye, and
apparent to the touch.) Other than the fact that the front outer fenders and
hood are not original, the car is staright and definetly rust free. The worst
that can be said is that the original paint is pretty tired and the repainted
front end was a mediocre job at best when done. Somewhere along the line
somebody sprayed undercoat in the rear wheel wells. Who knows why, but it
doesn't look like it was done to hide anything.
A question to all you Vintage guys (Vintage racing that is...) What sort of
criteria are the most accepted these days, and how far could I go with this
car to play ?
