DRUMS!
My daily driver is a Datsun B120 1/2 ton Ute, 1985 model with a 1200cc
engine AND 4 wheel drum brakes!
Once I got leak free front slave cylinders and adjusted all 4 drums as
per spec. the brakes are just fine.
It is wet weather and contaminated shoes that cause much randomness in
the efficiency and unpredictability of which way is it going to swerve
THIS time, of drum brakes.
Also a decent pad material if you contemplate any spirited driving!
So yes, they can be made to work:-)
