Thanks everyone for their advice on the small heater hose. I went to NAPA and
they allowed me behind the counter to look at their stock of hose. I settled
on NAPA hose 8429. Cut about a inch off one end and it is a very nice fit. No
kinks and the bend lined right up with the heater core.

Allen - I just replaced the upper radiator hose on my son's '70 1600 by
taking the hose to the local NAPA store and they matched it up with something
in stock. It was longer than the original but a razor blade solves that
problem, but it had the needed 30 degree angle needed.

Looks like I did not do a good job of explaining what I am looking for.
Certainly Dean has a replacement/substitute hose. What I was hoping for
was
someone had found one at NAPA, O'Rilleys, Autozone etc.. that would work.
My
hope was to get the hose replaced as soon as possible instead of waiting
a
week for it to come from Dean. I order a lot of my parts from Dean, but
when
you are running out of vaction time it is nice to find a substitute part
you
can get from the local parts store.
Will had sent a reply earlier but it sounds like this is the hose from
the
manafold to the heater valve and I need the small hose that goes from the
heater valve to the heater core.
I will probably end up calling Dean and getting the hose from him but
will
have to delay putting in the carpet unil the heater is taken care of.
