Yesterday I tried to adjust the clutch slave on my 70 2000. It has no
play so I am hoping that a proper adjustment might stop the slippage I
was getting last summer before my back went out (and laid me up until
late winter).
My problem is the adjustment and lock nuts. I was not able to get these
apart. I soaked them with penetrant but can't get a good grip on the
lock nut. A 12 mm wrench was too loose and started to round the corners
and I could not get an 11 mm on it.
Suggestions? I'd rahter not pull the whole slave if I can avoid it.
