Didn't know anything about them, but curiosity got me. Sounds like the
engines were prone to failure:

does anyone have any input on Cosworth Vegas? one available a couple hours
from me, reasonable but has been sitting 10 years and engine and trans are
stuck. said it ran fine before sitting... good body, not rusted out.
70something thousand miles. said it needs a timing belt and I've checked and
it's not an interference engine. old style non-aluminum compatible coolant
might be an issue I have read.
