Looking at my denuded 1970 - there are 4 screws holding the body of the center
console onto the transmission tunnel and screws on each side of the radio
console that hold it in, the back ones go to a bracket on each side that fits
into the dash. Apart from dsconnecting the antenna jack and the power, it
should slide out reasonably easy., though you might have to remove the shifter
- or at least the knob.
