low windshield horn

hi, all.

i have the steering column out, including the wheel, etc.

I would like to take the push button assembly out, as the plastic is in 
usable condition but the chrome pieces are badly pitted.

would someone please instruct me as to the correct way to do this without 
damaging anything?
