This is my first question on this mailing list and would like to introduce
myself. My name is Jackson Rogers , retired FDNY Firefighter , after 27 years
was hurt on 9/11/01 at the WTC and had to give up doing what I loved to due
.
I have had a long ongoing restoration project that hopefully, with help form
some of your out there in the Datsun community I can restart it.
I have (2) 67 1/2 2000 roadsters that are both in the middle of frame off
restos , frames and bodies have been sandblasted and bead blasted . I have
heard that the latter year ( 69 + 70 ) steering gear box's were better than
the early one's . Is it worth it to modify my early frame to install an newer
model ?
Since I have 2 cars I'm considering building one completely stock and one a
little more custom . Right now I hope to start to put on frame back together
and need to consider this steering box idea
