I noticed on the site Richard listed, there are air fittings to apply air
pressure to hold the valves up - I have done this on american motors - has
anyone tried it on a roadster? Might be lots easier than the excellent rope
tip, provided you have a good source of compressed air...

I run the piston part way down, push in the rope, then run the piston back
up tight. The tool I use to compress the spring is a K-D 2078. Here is a
picture of one.

My only question now is do I feed the nylon rope in with piston at BDC and
then turn crank to squish the rope up or do I set piston to TDC and then
feed as much rope in with out moving crank? Thanks guys
