The advice to forward the e-mail to eBay or PayPal is good advice. I always
forward fraud e-mails from either company while I am previewing my e-mail in
MailWasher. These particular phishing e-mails contain script that prevents
forwarding the e-mail from Outlook. Now that I am aware of these phishing
expeditions I can forward them fully intact with MailWasher, where I can see
the e-mail on my mail server before I download the e-mail into my PC.

MailWasher has proven itself to be a valuable anti-virus tool. I preview all
of my e-mail before I download it. Using configurable filters MailWasher marks
friends, blacklisted addresses, shows me if there is an attachment, and hides
e-mail I never want to see based on content. It also allows me to view the
HTML script within the e-mail if I want to. This feature allows me to figure
out whether the e-mail is going to the link I see in the e-mail, or somewhere I
would never suspect because the link has a few HTML tricks built into it. I
can do all of this before I download the e-mail to my PC. I can reply or
delete the e-mail directly from MailWasher if I don't want to download the
e-mail to my PC. MailWasher is a freeware program unless you choose to
purchase the professional version, which is the version I use.

Sorry for the ad, but MailWasher is a very good program to look at if you want
to increase your virus protection.

Good morning all.

Good advice Tom!

--If you are selling on eBay pay very close attention to requests for
information e-mails you receive from interested bidders. --Be vigilant and
careful.--

I would like to add a request to Tom's great advice. If you get a phishing
email like this from Ebay or PayPal (which is owned by ebay, in case you didn't
know...). Forward any and all of these to ebay and/or paypal. The addresses are

spoof@ebay.com OR spoof@paypal.com

They investigate what they can and maybe it will do some good. It can't hurt
any way.

PEACE :-)

A new addition to the family coming soon. More on it later after I take
delivery. Just don't tell my wife.
