In my case, I bought KYB GR2's, but haven't installed 'em yet. I also plan
on buying Mike Young coils.

>From David,
I am looking to buy new shocks and springs for my 68 Roadster. What do
you recommend and where should I buy them? I do not want them too stiff,
but stiffer than stock and lowering the car a bit would be nice. I am
currently running stock springs with KYB GR-2 front and rear. Has anynoe
had any experience with KYB full gas shocks? Also, if anyone has a lightly
used full setup I might be interested.

Hi Guys,
I did buy the full gas KYB's. I'm thoroughly happy with the performance of
the shocks... (I'm in Chattanooga TN, and the roads SUCK!)

A couple issues I've had with my new suspension are that the back shocks
have EXTREMELY close tolerance to the exhaust. That's neither good for the
shocks or the exhaust. Guna have to do something about that (only takes
money) P.S. I need new rear or re-arc'd rear springs or they wouldn't do
this. Currently driving with the shackles upside down. Looks very 70'Cuda'!
HAHAHAHA!

The other is, I wish I had bought the Mike Young coils. The Nismo type (7
coil) springs are really stiff... They actually raised the front end of my
car, but someone had heated the previous front coils to get the fenders to
sit ON the tires. These are lower than stock. But I lift the front end off
the ground going over speed bumps over 7 MPH. The rest of my front end ISNT
bullet proof, so it's kinda scary (need a drivers side lower ball joint...
Again, only takes money).

I once heard that "what goes up, comes down... in pieces." The best parts
you can put in there, the better. You won't be disappointed with the money
you spent on full gas KYB's. Sorry... my set isn't coming off Loreli. Check
the vendors. :-)

As you see, my suspension issues have nothing to do with the shocks...
Loreli HUGS the "S" curves on Hixson Pike, twice a day! Did someone say
"rocket sled on rails" out loud?" Oh, it was me! DAMN, I need to go the
store... the FAR store! HAHAHAHA!
