Ethanol has to be run lots richer than gas. You would have to completely
rejet the carb. A friend of mine used to race speedway bikes on Methanol. After
the night of racing the fuel system was drained because the methanol would eat
up the carb. FFV vehicles use a lot of stainless steel in the fuel system.
What you could do is set up the carbs to run the ethanol blend, go racing,
then change it back for regular street use.

Is anyone using the ethanol mix gas, either E10 or E85 in their stock
Roadster? What problems could one expect if they use these fuels in a vehicle
that is not a true "FFV" (Flex Fuel Vehicle)? What different mechanical
components make a vehicle capable of burning ethanol?
Just wondering. Seeing that 105 octane rating is soooo tempting.
