When I ran my 67.5 Solex on the street I used a NISMO LSD with a 4.38 ratio
and thought it was great. Great acceleration and still not too busy at the
top end.  Even later when I used a 4.62 ratio with a Detroit Locker for the
track, still did not affect top speed since it would pull past redline in
5th, wouldn't approach redline with the 3.7.
