Some racers will lower the rear spring perch to get a better suspension
geometry. The rear springs are mounted lower in front than in back and they
also splay out as they go back. The trick that some racers use is to flip
the shackles upside down. This gives way too much ride height so they then
use lowering blocks between the axle and the spring. This gives a much
flatter spring and reduces bump steer in the rear.
