volvo brake conversion

Hi all,
  How many of you have done the volvo front brake conversion?  Is it an easy 
process and do the brakes work better than stock Datsun brakes or is the 
conversion done just for cost savings?  Any information would be appreciated.  
My 
calipers are leaking and my rotors are worn out so I am weighing all options 
before replacing them.  If appears to be a very costly replacement for stock 
Datsun parts.
