Originally the 2000 rads were 3 core and the 1600 rads were 2 core but they
are the same physical size. Since most rad shops would recommend a 3 core
rad for any replacement, they are for all purposes the same size. I don't
know of any one who still has the original core after all these years.

Heavy applications of silicone will ruin any radiator so if you use
silicone, use it sparingly.
