It sounds like a ground problem to me.
When I installed the engine in my car I
put a 1" wide braided ground strap
around each of the motor mounts to be
sure I had a good ground between the
engine and the frame. So far no
problems.

Subject: Electrical Gremlin - 67 2000
Okay...Here is the story....
Every once in a while the 67 2000 will
appear to loose all electrical power
(not while running, though). There is
juice to the ampmeter, but all
electrical is dead (all lights, etc), as
well as the starter.
At some point 10 minutes later, for some
unknown reason (sitting at a near
stand still), the lights return, but the
starter won't engage. The at some
point later (few minutes) the starter
can kick right over.
Once running: the car acts as if there
has never been a problem.
My best guess is the grounding strap?
What do you think?
Thanks,
