I have my triangle reshaped too. Don't
forget the Band-Aids. You will need
them.

I have a starter with a soon to be bad
solenoid mounted on the car, and a
starter that I reconditioned the
solenoid on sitting on the shelf. So
far I have not considered changing one
for the other, even though the car sat
for much of the winter with the left
fender off and the left side of the car
raised 18" off of the floor. I am
hoping to decide to pull the engine
before I decide to change the
starter....

Well that depends on how luck you are.
If you have the lower triangular
piece of the inner fender cut out
already it will be easier but I had to
loosen all the engine and tranny mount
bolts and jack up the engine and move
it over to the passenger side a bit to
get the starter out. Some of the
bolts I had to remove.

My gear reduction is a bit smaller so I
may be in luck the next time - if, I
ever have to do it again.

Not a fun job but not impossible either.

Mike
