OT - 88 pathfinder

A friend of mine has an 88 pathfinder. It was running poorly. He changed out
the plugs, rotor, and cap. He said the performance is better but it dies
while at idle. It is currently sitting at around 500 rpms. Anyone know what
it should be at? It sounds like it is getting fuel properly as he says it
runs fine when he is giving it gas. It only dies at idle. Idle just needs
adjustment? Are the valves adjustable?
