Your not kidding about the body
thickness. I have a 99 Dodge Caravan,
and stepped on a hose that caused my
ankle to roll under me. I was between
two fairly closely spaced cars and
tipped into the Caravan. There are two
dents where my elbow stopped my sideways
motion. Since then I have noticed a
number of similar dents on other
Dodge/Chrysler mini-vans. It takes very
little to dent them, and it takes a lot
of money to straighten them out again.

Mandatory Datsun content:

It is finally raining in Portland and I
am getting started on removing the doors
and fenders. New fenders going on over
the winter, and rust going away.

The chassis proper is in the order of
2mm thick, the body is 1mm
thick.
By todays standards, that is a tough
little body shell!

Does anyone know the largest metal
thickness on the Roadster? This is
for welding reference.

Thank you!
