Hello everyone,
I was wanting some input into a descision I'm having to
make about my 66 SP311. I'm having my top reconditioned, new stitching ,a
few repairs here and there and new perspex cause the old stuff has gone all
yellow and sort of mouldy looking but it is not mould, but the point is you
can't see out of it. ANY WAY......I don't know wether to go for the more
traditional clear perspex OR tinted stuff. It is the same price and the guy
says the tinted stuff won't go yellow and keeps out heat and untra voilet
rays and helps protect my leather interiour and is generally better. It
looks nice and dark and good quality and stuff BUT I don't know if it would
look out of place on a 66 Fairlady.

Now my SP311 is a rich red colour with no badging and
no chrome except for the bumpers, head lights surrounds, tail lights and
door handles. It has had the over-riders removed and has after market
mirrors on it and hot wire mags. So it doesn't look too original from the
outside any way. I just want to know if there are any other roadster
drivers with tinted perspex and if they think it is better or worse then the
clear stuff. I'm leaning towards the tinted at this stage but I'm not
decided yet....

Help me out here!!

Thanks Guys,
Matthew
