I dont know if the Ford "Pinto" engine is the same in Europe (Sierra, 
Scorpio, Mondeo) but there is a 16 valve head on the 2000 cc in Europe 
since emission law changes in the late 1980's. They all had ~120 hp & 
fuel injection but there are DCOE manifolds available. These engines 
are plenty in the junkyards and used in more kit cars than you would 
ever want to know about.
