I was quoted a price of 300 for the manifold and linkage but no carbs. I can
buy a used set of carbs to keep the price down but I think it will be a lot of
trial and error on jetting the carbs correctly and expensive!
I'll fine tune my SUs and I doubt the Webers will really give that much more
performance and they'll lose some power on the bottom end.

I have researched the Weber idea but I'm not going down that road as all
1600 manifolds use 40 DCOEs and a stroker with a cam would really need 45
DCOEs if you plan to rev it past about 6000 RPMs.
the manifold for the R16 from pierce will accept 40 or 45 DCOEs (the same
price from pierce whether you get the 40s or the 45s...~$1,000 last time i
checked) or 40 or 44 PHHs. i have that manifold with 44PHHs on my H20.
