Hi Sel,
I have just dissembled '65 SP310 and at EVERY point where the body was
attached to the chassis, there was a reinforced rubber pad approx 2"
square.
Indeed at the mounting point at the forward edge of the rear wheel
arch, the pad is used to fill a gap because it is vertically mounted -
all the others are horizontal to cushion/insulate the body from the
chassis.
When re-mounting the body to the chassis, take the time to orient the
body correctly to have equal measurements side to side since the
mounting holes and captive nut plates have a fairly large tolerance.

I didn't have any "rubbing/insulation" pads between my body and the
chassis.
Where are they supposed to go ?
