Alvin, On Raul's exhaust, were they able to bet a 2" system through the
frame without flattening it? Any idea what brand/part number the muffler
is? How is the exhaust note, compared to a stock system? It really looks
good! Our local shops don't do nearly as good a job, so I drive about 40
miles to get my work done in Austin.
One thing you should tell Raul is that in order to keep the rubber exhaust
isolators from deteriorating from heat too quickly is to install some
shields between the mount and the pipe. All they are is bent pieces of
metal, acting as radiation (heat) shields. If you check out the part
manual they ae on drawing 14-1, item !7. Part number 20613-12200. I bought
some a year or so ago and were not difficult to get from the dealer.
I especially liked the first picture with the red glow of the welding
showing in the exhaust tip!
Peace,
Pat
