I just took one of my burned out bulb into Schucks and just physically
matched it up with something they had on the shelf. It works fine. There
isn't alot of science to the dash bulbs.
I think I mounted the the instruments before connecting the cables and
wires.

What "size" are the instrument panel bulbs (i.e. for tach, speedo, and
cluster gauge) on a 1970 2000? I've heard 53 and 57. Is that correct? Is
there a difference in the two? Any preferences?
Also, is it easier to put on the cables (speedo and tach cables, not the
wiring) prior to putting the gauges back in, or should I attach the cables
and then put in the gauges?
