Andrew,

That's the reason I keep driving the SPL212 even people tell me I shouldn't
put it in harm's way. My father-in-law gets a real kick out of cruising
around town. I know it is a rare car but it is a "thing" and nothing else.

My 69 1600 came with matching numbers. I did not go out of my way to look
for it. It just happened to have been a "one owner" type of car. I am
lucky they kept the manuals including the warranty booklet containing all
the stubs when maintenance was performed and best of all the date and dealer
who sold the car. The dealer filled out the car's VIN, the engine # and
signed it. Will it ever matter? I doubt it. The 69 model will never
amount to anything compared to the 67.5's. What I do like is being able to
peruse through all the paperwork they gave me. Service invoices,
registration cards, plate stickers, etc...

Edgar
