The stock brakes are fantastic.  I've surprised many a passenger - they're 
impressed with the car's performance, but gob-stopped when they see how hard 
my little girl will pull up!

Even the guys who race here are using a more or less stock setup, except 
with slotted rotors (still available here in Australia through DBA).  Of 
course, you need to use good brake pads.  I don't know what you guys have 
available overseas, but in Australia, we can get Ferodo Excel brake pads - 
quite inexpensive, actually, but very good even when cold (important for 
emergency stops day to day) and I'm yet to have mine fade - not through lack 
of trying! ;)
