I would recommend Highway 1 anywhere North of Santa
Barbara. Big Sur especially. One that may not be in
the books, the Alpine Inn in Portolla Valley. It's a
beer garden that has been in continuous operation
since the 1800's.
If you make it as far as San Francisco, let us know
and we will set something up to celebrate your
arrival!
