Tim Corcoran from Bainbridge Island, WA, graciously sent me a set of horns he
believes were from a 65. They are actually shaped like little horns with a
trumpet at the end. Anyone ever see anything like that? I haven't. My old
broken horn is a flat circle.
Anyway, I tried them on a 12v battery out of the car and they were quite
loud, and took so much current they fused the 16 gauge wire to the battery!
I am afraid I'll melt the relay if I hook them up to my 1966 Roadster. Could
these be old 6 volt horns, and not 12 volt ones? That would explain the high
current draw.
Any ideas?
