I am sending this as a reminder; some people still have not heard of this.
If you have a yahoo account or if you subscribe to yahoogroups, please read
this. Yahoo seems to have *turned on* ALL marketing preferences for people,
including 14 preference subjects and "contact me by phone" and "by mail".
If you don't change these to "no" by April 24th, you WILL receive spam.
1. To correct this, login to your yahoo email account. (For yahoogroups, see
below.)
2. Click on "options" (upper right hand corner)
3. Then click on "account information" (first link on the upper left)
4. (It will ask you to log in again.) The 3rd section has two email addresses
and a big
link:
"Click here to edit your marketing preferences"
5. Click No for all the preferences you do not want.
6. Click No if you don't want to receive spam via the US Mail
7. Click No if you don't want to receive telephone calls.
8. Click Submit.
For yahoogroups subscribers:
Go to http://groups.yahoo.com and
click on the top-right "Account Info" link.
Follow the same instructions #4-#8.
That's it. DO IT TODAY AND SPARE YOUR EMAIL BOX FROM BECOMING FULL FROM SPAM!
