    As probably one of the younger members of our little piece of space
here, I'm suprised no one else has brought out the point that the picture of
the flag raising on Iwo Jima we all have in our heads is directly from this
kind of manipulation we're talking about.  The original picture of the
actual flag raising was considered to be not dramatic enough.  They staged
the second one after they got a larger flag from one of the battleships in
the envoy off shore.  The real flag from Iwo Jima was considered too small,
and only two men origianlly placed it on top of Mt. Surabachi.  The picture
that has become famous was taken some three hours later.  I'm not saying I
disagree with what you've all said, believe me I think there is way too much
of this PC crap going on.  I just wanted to point out that we have always,
to some degree, been uninterested in keeping history 100% acurate.  There
always seems to be something that needs tp be "freshened up" I guess.
