Here's my own Brit car joke:
Why did British cars leak oil?
It is their perpetual undercoating system!
Have you ever seen a british car leak down the middle?
After 35 years of working on Brit cars, I can now build V12' Jags that don't
leak!
Use GM gasket sealer:
1#1050026
It is the best damn tree-sap I have ever seen, and it soaks into the gaskets
and makes 'em easier to remove later.
It's very impervious to oil and gas etc- better than any silicone product.
It comes in a pint can with a applicator brush.
If you are building an engine with a rear main oil thrower and no rear crank
seal like the "A" series motors, be sure to dillegently port the oil drain
passages in the rear main cap as well!
