Use separate air filters for each air horn?

Dennis, thanks for all your responses. 

I was planning today to buy 4 K&N filters so that each carb's air horn see's
its own filter. I have heard that when either 2 or 4 of the air horns are
all together in one big air filter, the horns tend to "talk to each other"
and this causes some problems. Do you know if this is true or not? I thought
using separate filters would be ok.
