Semantics. Gordon actually refers to the 'cam' (check out page 3 of the
electrical chapter of the fiche). The angled notches control the amount
of advance. Yes, the advance plate is what the vacuum motor twists,
but that's not what the mechanical weights act on.
I suspect I used the wrong terminology in the beginning of this thread,
so I'll take the blame...
