Thanks for the reply. I hadn't thought of an airgun - I'll have to
look into that.
To clarify my message - I don't need to scrape hard; in many places it
is peeling off revealing relatively good blue paint. I don't wish to
"restore" this hidden paint; I just figure the original blue paint is
probably good enough to work over whereas the white paint has got to
go.
