I did some studying after Phil talked of mobil1. I have been running it in
the ford van (300ci 6cyl) since 100k miles. now at 140k changing at 10k
intervals. Oil looks as dark as 3k dino oil. Dont have a running roadster
now, but plan on mobil1 after breakin period.

Also runnung 5w-30 in my contour SVT w 5k change periods. Mileage went up.
Trans change to mobil 1 soon.

Hi,

Phil brought up the subject of synthetic oil. I'm running it in my '66 2000
ever since my rebuild. Actually, I ran non-synthetic for the first thousand
miles and then switched to synthetic.

What do the roadster experts recommend for synthetic oil weights and how
often should it be changed? Hopefully not too often as the stuff is
expensive!
