Dear All

A coincidence this month in that most of the updates have some kind of
connection with Pete Brock or his BRE team.

Firstly, on the BRE pages there's a pic of John McComb in a BRE Roadster
chasing Dan Parkinson (later of BRE) in the 1970 DP Runoffs at Road Atlanta -
there's also info on McComb's fate in the race.

On the same pages we have a pic of Pete Brock racing his black Lotus 11 at
Riverside in 1962 - not you may think Datsun related, except that from the
same race there are also pics of 1969 BRE Roadster driver Frank Monise
together with 1960s BRE team member John Timanus, both duelling their own
Lotus 11s. BRE roadster and Z racer John Morton was at the same event helping
out on Carroll Shelby's new Cobra, which was being demo'd between races.
Ground breaking pics which chart the formation of the BRE team.

Still on the same page we have a colour pic of Ken Glassener at Road Atlanta
campaigning his ex-BRE Monise/McComb & Bob McQueen Datsun 2000. This car is
now owned by Bob Dicke.

On the Bob McQueen pages, there is now a gallery of pics showing McQueen
duelling the above ex-BRE Datsun 2000 roadster to 1971 ARRC victory against
Gene Felton, in HIS ex-BRE 2000. There is also some more commentary on
McQueen's 1971 and 1972 ARRC victories, together with full results of both
Runoffs.

On the Dan Parkinson pages there is some more info on Dan's showing in the
Runoffs of the early 1970s. The history of one of Dan's cars also includes a
colour pic of the car in BRE colours whilst owned by BRE/Interpart employee,
Kirk Allegro. Kirk came 4th at the 1972 ARRC after Dan took him on the last
lap in his new 2000. There is more info on the car under Kirk's ownership.
This car is now owned by David Pina.

There are various other updates, probably the best of which is December's
'Image of the Month' showing Joe Hauser's 1600 upside down in a tyre wall in
qualifying - Joe was thankfully unhurt, and after topping up the levels, he
made the race (although he doesn't remember if he won).

Thanks go to Joe Hauser, Tam McPartland and Peter Brock for their assistance
with the above updates. thanks to others for their feedback.

The Bob Sharp pages are also undergoing a major facelift - some great stuff
already but are there any other pics/further info out there??

Regards and greetings from England (hence the dodgy spelling of color, tire
etc.)
