tiny gear reduction starters??

Hello All,
        Is anybody on the list using a gear reduction starter??  Some posted
that they are 'tiny'.  Are they in fact much smaller than the stock (U-20)
starter??  Think that I am going to need a new starter soon and I am 
looking at alternatives.
