Ken,
I've used POR-15 and it's a good product. It may be the toughest paint I've
ever seen. Here are some tips.

Buy many cheap foam brushes. you do not want to use anything you would want
to clean afterward.

Buy some Nitrle gloves and USE THEM! Once on your skin, POR 15 WILL remain
there until that skin is refreshed. no amount of washing will suffice.

Prepare your surface. get as much rust off as a wire brush can. Then Wash!
Strong detergent degreaser with a stiff brush. After the initial wash, if
you use a prep material such as sold by Eastwood, all the better. I like
these acid based products that leave a Zinc Phosphate coating behind. They
do a great job removing the remaining rust and leave the surface ready for
coating and won't allow a flash rust to form while the work is drying.

The work must be completely dry before painting so do your prep work a day
before, dry with towels and let air dry completely.

POR-15 goes on with one stroke only, do not go over again. If you put down
nice single strokes you'll have a great finish. If you go over an area
again, you'll have a mess.

It takes 2 days at least for POR-15 to set up completely, I've never waited
the entire time. Last engine pull I painted the forward frame, I dropped the
engine in while the coating was still soft.
