John,
If all you did was change the suspension pieces (balljoints, bushings, shocks)
without changing springs there should be no change in the ride height.  You
should check to see that the springs are seated properly.  I suspect that the
springs are not in their proper location as shocks will not alter your ride
height unless they were a coil over type, but you used GR-2s.
