This could work.  It only takes a few seconds to change a topic line.  Perhaps 
putting something like NON-TECH in front of a subject would do it.  If we all 
use the same format, those who don't want such mail can set up filters in their 
email program to delete them so they never see it.  Most email
programs have the ability to do this.  Eudora is the king of this, Netscape 
does it well, and MS Outlook can do it too, I think.  For example, all my list 
messages go to a "Datsun" folder directly - not my inbox.  If you are not sure 
how to do it, ask the list and someone will likely help you. 

This would meet the needs of both camps, I think.  The key is all of us being 
willing to take the extra 10 seconds to do this courtesy for the other list 
members.  (And allowing for occasional lapses without flaming!)
