I am curious why selling cars from your home makes you dishonest. Unless the
vehicle is stolen, misrepresented, or is knowingly sold without disclosure
of problems or issues, I'd hardly call it dishonest.

Anytime you buy a car from a private party, the old saying "let the buyer
beware" comes into play. When I bought my 67.5 2000, I did so knowing I was
going to have to invest A LOT of money in it to make it road safe. I went
into it with my eyes open. Funny how when you tell someone you are
interested in their car, there is always "someone else coming by" to look at
the car the same day you are. If you get pressure from the seller, take a
step back and think about it. A reputable person/dealer will tell you to
take your time and buy the right car for you.

Folks, these cars are used, and unless they have been sealed in someone's
garage for 30 years, have a lot of miles on them. Unless you can get someone
with the knowledge of a Gordon, Les, Dennis, Mike, Fred, or someone like
them to go with you, it is up to you to smell if something stinks. I bought
my car knowing it wasn't running and that it would take a lot of work. If
you are looking for a car that is in good shape, use your head and don't buy
the first car that comes along.

My opinion ( I know there are others)
