The manual says the end gap for the oil rings on the 1600 should be .006
inches. The new set of Deves rings I got say the end gap for the oil rings
is set at the factory. When I put the rings in the bore to check the gap,
the top and bottom scrapers are .087 inches and the center oil ring is
nearly 1/2 inch. The top two compression rings gap out just fine but the oil
ring has me confused. I know the gaps on the oil ring are offset from each
other but it still seem like a lot of gap. What gives??
