I have no idea what the Diesel fuel will do, I imagine not much.

Automotive diesel dosnt have lead in it, it does have
more BTU, and a much higher flash point....hmmmm.
Your engine probably wont need lead replacement as long as the head
has been rebuilt since 1975 or so, as shops started routinely
putting in hard valve seats around then to cope with no lead gas.
The lead raised octane, making cheap gas better, and also
the deposits lubricated the valves, allowing cheaper materials
to be used in engines. To bad its a deadly neurological poison.
But, if that old guys truck is still running, no need to get in
a tiff about it....
