On the seats:
Up to, and including 67 model, NO seat back release.
67.5 model seats: seat back release down near the floor (towards the door);
optional headrest that BOLTED to the back of the seat.
68 and later: seat back release is up high. Headrest (a common option),
fitted into two holes on the TOP of the seats.
Since you have had both seats redone, I would install the seat back
release one with the release towards the door. At least you'll be able
to reach it. Stiching was different on all three seats, but if you
have a matching pair... should be fine.
