Some states will register with plates that are the same year as the car,
depends on the state. (I know that California, Texas, and New Mexico do
but not sure about the others.) In most cases it is your problem to find
suitable plates. I've redone several for friends to use here in N.M. I
don't know of any state that issues new/old plates. hth Bill 66&67
