WOW!!!!
For those that haven't seen the pictures of Jason's car....
I finally understand how the paint job could cost $4000....the rear of
the car has been very customized. Instead of 4 tailights and two
reflectors, the tail has been customized with four LARGE circular lights
across the rear of the car. Can't tell what they are from, but they look
similar to the 70's corvettes, except much LARGER. Maybe even RV type
parts.
Jason... On whether it is a 1600 or a 2000. The SPL311 refers to 1600
model. So, the previous owner may have swaped the orginal 1600
(R-engine) with a 2000 engine (U-engine). Take a snapshot of the engine
bay...Members on the list can identify for you.
As for value...Well, roadsters really aren't worth too much. Unrestored
1600's can be found for approx $500-$1000. But, nicely restored example
can be bought for $3000-$5000. BUT...the value is really in the
enjoyment of the cars. They are a complete blast to drive & own.
