Datsun Roadster Mt. Shasta Meet
July 9 & 10, 1999

It's been talked about on the list - now here is the info from
the flyer that was just mailed out. Mt. Shasta hosts _two_
Datsun meets, occurring concurrently. Go to one or both,
but you _MUST_ go! This is the 15th anniversary of the
Roadster meet (and I believe that we can thank Ross Mullen
for starting it all, so very long ago). There were over
50 Roadsters last year, plus a couple of Z's and 510's :-)
(Anyone that knows about this weekend knows what that smiley
is all about!).

With _or without_ your car, you're missing a real treat if you
stay home! The Datsun marquee turns this tranquil little city
into an event that you have to experience. Good times, good
people, good cars. Super-stock? It's here. Super-modified?
It's here. Rotary Roadsters, turbochargers, Nitrous Oxide
rides? They're here!

The 'main' motels for the Roadsters appear to be the Strawberry
Valley Inn (forget it, they sell out the year before!) and the
Mountain Aire. Lots of midnight tech talks in the parking
lots. It's a small town, nothing is very far away from anything
else, so if you stay elsewhere it's still easy to join in!

The five and dimers take over a chunk of the KOA campground,
for those of a camping bent. And Tom Walter usually sets up
camp at the Lake Siskiyou campground.

If you're anywhere near the west coast, enjoy owning (or wanting)
a Roadster, and can at all make it, this is a weekend you want
to attend!

I'll be heading up Thursday afternoon (July 8th) from the
Sacramento area, and staying at the Mountain Aire. Anyone
that wants to caravan, let me know! (but I only have a 1600,
so I don't make as good a time as all you U20 owners...)

=== This is from the Datsun Roadsters flyer
=== Note there is a concurrent but separate all-Datsun meet
that includes swap meet, auto-X, and other festivities.
It's a small town, attend them both!

Where has the time gone! Our first Mt. Shasta Datsun Roadster
meet happened in July 1985. Now here we are fifteen years later,
getting ready to bring together the Datsun Roadster owners on
the West coast, to meet once again, make new friends, socialize
and exchange technical tips, ideas, and stories. Join us in
celebrating fifteen wonderful years of meeting and making new
friends in the picturesque city of Mt. Shasta
