Hi,
I think you'll find that the scoop on the bonnet and the raised section
behind it is only there to give
the necessary clearance between the bonnet and the top of the engine and
radiator. Any airflow to
the radiator through the scoop would be negligable.
The best way to fix the MG problem would be to sell it and buy a Datsun
;-)
